BRANOkont (Corrosion Protection Paper)
BRANOkont corrosion protection paper is a specially coated contact protection paper that will not work at a distance. Its corrosion protection properties are only effective when it is in direct contact with the metal surface.
Scope of protection
Main application area: steel and cast iron. BRANOkont is compatible for use with chrome, pure tin and aluminium. Care should be taken with cadmium, zinc, nickel, lead, soldering tin, magnesium, tungsten and molybdenum.
Metal components can be protected against corrosion during the transport and storage process by wrapping them in BRANOkont papers. BRANOkont can also be used as an interleaving. It is essential, however, that direct contact is achieved between BRANOkont and the metal surface. The metals must be clean and dry before wrapping.
BRANOkont is to be used exclusively for the stipulated applications (packaging/preservation of metal parts susceptible to damage). We accept no liability for consequential damage resulting from improper use.
Protection duration: Up to 3 years depending on the climatic conditions and how tightly sealed (leak-proof) the packaging is.
BRANOkont papers are available in smooth and creped and have differing basic weights.
Available in roll and sheet form.
Cool and dry, away from direct sunlight. Maximum storage time in the original packaging: 3 years.
BRANOkont is materially recyclable. It is marked with the recycling symbol. Since the thermal value is > 11,000 kJ/kg the material may be introduced into an energy recovery process. If burning is neither technically possible nor feasible, the material may be disposed of or burnt with domestic waste according to local authority regulations.
BRANOkont papers are not regarded as being hazardous substances according to the hazardous substance regulations. It should be handled in a well-ventilated space; one should not eat or drink while working with it, nor should foods be stored in the work area where it is used, and the hands and face should be washed after use. Further information can be found in our Material Safety Data Sheet.
